The Danish National Institute of Public Health collected extensive interview data on musculoskeletal complaints in the Danish population in 1991. In this study we test hypotheses about patterns of musculoskeletal complaints and study the longitudinal consequences of these with respect to seeking of health care, hospitalizations and surgery.
